Booking Conditions

THANK YOU FOR BOOKING WITH TRAVEL ASSOCIATES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (TAA)

Please read carefully the following information regarding your travel arrangements.

Quoted Prices

All prices stated are correct at the time of quoting. However it should be noted that deposits hold reservations, but do not necessarily guarantee prices which may be subject to change and will be confirmed on issue of your travel documents. These variations may include fuel surcharges, additional government taxes or levies and exchange rate fluctuations etc.

Payment Options

Prices are based on cash or cheque payment unless otherwise stated. Cheque payment cannot be accepted for travel arrangements departing within 7 days of payment. Surcharges will apply for payment by credit card.

Amendment or Cancellation

Cancellation penalties and amendment fees may apply to any changes in your travel arrangements. In addition to cancellation or amendment fees charged by Travel Associates Australia Pty Ltd (TAA), travel suppliers (airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, hotels etc) may apply cancellation and amendment fees. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions in the relevant brochure. Some travel arrangements are non-refundable and non-changeable and if you elect not to travel on the dates booked then you may forfeit 100% of the cost of your arrangements.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Please ask your travel consultant for a quote for travel insurance. Please read the conditions of the travel insurance policy carefully, taking note of any special inclusions or exclusions as they may relate to your personal circumstances.

Passports

Please check all names on the itinerary provided match exactly the name and spelling as per your identification. For domestic travel, valid photographic identification is required. For international travel, a valid passport is required and visas may be required for some countries. You must ensure your Australian passport has a validity of six months after your return date to Australia and advise us if you wish us to make any necessary visa application/s on your behalf. Boarding may be refused by the airline/cruise line if your documentation is not correct.

Visa Requirements

You may require a visa or electronic travel authorisation to enter some countries. Visa requirements will vary depending on whether you are travelling for “tourism purposes” or for business. Please discuss your visa requirements with your travel consultant.


In the event that you are travelling to a country or countries which do not require a visa for Australian passport holders, you must tell us if you have been arrested or convicted in respect of any offence or breach of law. Non disclosure of this information may lead to your being refused entry on arrival in certain countries. In that event, we take no responsibility whatsoever. If you do not wish to disclose such information to us, then you should contact the embassy of each country of destination and make your own arrangements in regard to entry to that country. Boarding may be refused by the airline if your documentation is not correct. Please ask your travel consultant for more details.

Travel and Health Advice

We recommend that you check the website www.smartraveller.gov.au for current travel advices issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We also recommend that you check with your doctor or nearest Traveller’s Medical Centre regarding any vaccination or medical requirements for your trip.
